Bisbee
This was Vin-Melca's Hit the Mark, TT ("Bisbee," or "The Biz"). He was quite the blue-blood. His pedigree was about as purple as it gets! The son of multi-BIS parents, he had 9 BIS dogs in his 5-generation pedigree, along with 5 Quaker Oats award winners, and 6 Westminster breed winners and/or group placers. He was an incredible boy.

He was a long-legged beauty, short-backed and absolutely gorgeous. He was also great at being a service dog for me at home, although I really had more fun with him just hugging on him. (He was built for hugging!) He learned all he needed to know about being a search & rescue dog and a therapy dog like Zöe and Daisy, but he never took anything seriously. Some days he'd be on and working just great, but some days he would look at you like you were crazy when you'd tell him to look for something. Oh, well. When he got a little older, he had to retire from his therapy work as well, because he didn't take it quite seriously enough.

After a short struggle with his kidneys, he passed away at the emergency vet's office, still struggling to hang in there. He finally had to give up his battle, but we will always keep his memory close. Wait for us, Biz-boy. We'll see you again. Gracie's there. She'll keep you company 'til we can get there.
